Strength & Movement

The most part of Rhian’s life has been spent as a competitive athlete, with the last 10 of those years spent as a trainer and coach. From national level swimming to Crossfit and olympic lifting, she understands the importance of a strong foundation in performance - and longevity. Whether you consider yourself as an athlete or not, the core concept is the same - create a strong body that moves well and it will not only thrive, but it will also be able to withstand the demands of training, and day to day life.

Rhian believes in empowerment through education. Whether a beginner or an elite athlete, Rhian takes the time to ensure her clients understand proper movement patterns and progressions. Strength, movement and injury prevention, underpin all of her programming. By empowering clients and giving them the tools to understand and manage their own bodies, Rhian is able to improve their physical performance in a way that is maintainable. 

Working with people of all ages and abilities, Rhian strives to help her clients train at peak performance for the longest time possible.

Services

Rhian offers a diverse offering of in person and online coaching and education services. Based in Brisbane, Australia she coaches group fitness at Crossfit Dux, as well as at The Evolved Personal Training & Performance. She is available for private personal and small group training out of locations in North Brisbane, Red Hill and West End.

Rhian has over 10 years coaching experience, 7 years of weightlifting expertise and 3 years as a competitive athlete. Her approach to programming is progressive and personalised to the client based on where they are in their journey and the specific goals they want to achieve. All sessions are inclusive of warm ups, main training, accessories as well as cool downs and mobility and are designed in 6-12 week blocks. Rhian is accessible by all clients from 5am-8pm EST to provide guidance and support.

Philosophy

Every person is different - their goals, abilities, lifestyle, so how can a “one size fits all” programming approach work? Rhian forms close relationships with her clients in order to get an understanding of how she can build a program with them that takes into consideration their goals, life and needs. All of her programs are personalised to the individual.Her online availability is capped at 25 clients at any one time. This allows her enough time to give thorough support and guidance to all of her clients, while closely monitoring their progression.

Program Type and Structure

Rhian offers online programming for strength and conditioning, weightlifting and crossfit. As a coach, she prioritises warm ups and cooldowns as these play a key role in injury prevention and longevity. Every program is periodised, building progressively on strength and movements. Days are structured specifically to maximise performance and recovery. Progression is tracked through video analysis of lifts and gymnastics. Video feedback is given to assist with any movements that may require extra assistance.Rhian has over 10 years of coaching experience and believes a good coach who understands progression and adaptation at an individual level, is key to maintainable results.
